Table Tennis at MESC Table Tennis Club
We meet every 1st and 3rd Friday from 10.00 to 12.00.
Table tennis is fantastic for improving hand-eye coordination as well as side to side, backwards, and forwards movements. It is also good for balance and is a great way to help maintain leg, arm and core strength. Table tennis helps stimulate mental alertness and concentration, which are all impacted by Parkinson’s.
No experience is necessary and there is coaching on hand to help players of any ability to improve.
Challenge an opponent to a game, or improve your skills with some fun activities.
Rob and Malcolm organise the sessions and the coaching. Rob has Parkinson’s and has represented the UK at table tennis for those with Parkinson’s for a number of years in Europe.
There’s time to chat to other Parkinson’s people or PAs (Parkinson’s Assistants) as well as a coffee or a cuppa and some biscuits.
There is a donation cost of £3 per player.
