Our Activities
No experience is needed to join in any of our activities, with the exception of mountain biking. Help will always be there for you.
Below is an outline of our current activities. We hope to increase what we offer soon.

Base Body Fitness
Tuesdays & Thursdays 1.30 - 2.30
We meet every Tuesday for a gym session at Base Body Fitness in Park Hall.

Choose your activities or machines and exercise for as long as you would like to. Then have a well-deserved coffee or a cuppa and a chat.
Table Tennis
Fridays 10.00 - 12.00
We meet every 1st and 3rd Friday (and 5th when there is one) at the MESC Table Tennis Club, Summer Street, ST4 4DH.

Guided exercise classes for Parkinson’s
Two meetings a week. A range of activities, accessible for all.
Tuesdays 11.00 - 12.00 Dimensions Leisure Centre, Tunstall

This group is currently meeting in the gym and is expertly led staff member John.
Fridays 1.00 - 2.00 Fenton Manor Sports Complex
City Road Fenton, City Rd, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 2RR
This group involves a guided set of exercises including a circuit of activities. Expertly led by Shelly and Ange.
John, Shelly and Ange are Stoke City Council employees. They are trained and qualified to a high standard and have knowledge of Parkinson’s Disease.
Kali for Parkinson’s
This is the national martial art of the Philippines. It is a form of movement that uses body and mind. No physical combat is included. It will help with core strength, balance and control and can be carried out either seated or standing. For those of you who like long words, Kali will help to improve your neuroplasticity.
Every Monday, 1.00 p.m. – 3.00 p.m.
Spend some time learning a new skill and being active, followed by some social time.

£4 for Kali plus £1 for a hot drink for both people with Parkinson’s andtheir PAs.
Mountain Biking
For the more active and adventurous, get on a bike and forget you have Parkinson’s.
Times, days and locations vary. Hopefully to suit those who wish to go.
Ballet
The English National Ballet established dance for Parkinson’s in 2010. Dancing can enhance fluidity of movement, develop postural stability, flexibility of the spine and improve balance.
Seated Dance classes have been offered at Jubilee 2, Newcastle.
Unfortunately these classes are suspended at the moment.
We hope these classes will resume. We will update the information here as soon as we have any details.
Walking Football
New for Autumn 2024
Time and day to be conformed while we find a suitable venue.
